Number Skills

All organizations have employees who must correctly transfer, record, or check numbers. Number Skills trains employees to increase accuracy and speed in performing number handling functions. Number Skills uses visual exercises (on videotape) to improve skills in the areas of perceiving, hearing, grouping, remember transferring, and proofing numbers. Independent studies conducted after the course has been completed show that Number Skills delivers a 67% increase in accuracy and a 20% increase in speed measured on the job.
Course Length: 10 hours. Usually divided into 2-hour modules taught in 5 consecutive days.

The cost of errors made by office personnel can be staggering. Even small typing mistakes reflect poorly on an organization. Proofamatics is a training course that will increase the clarity and accuracy of written communication through improved proofreading and grammar skills. This course teaches trainees which errors are most commonly made in written communications and provides a system for finding them. After successfully completing Proofamatics, trainees average a 29% increase in their proofreading skills from pretest to posttest. In addition, the organization benefits from increased productivity and reduced costs.

Professionalism in the Office

Office automation has changed the nature of office work. Now, more than ever, employees need training in the basics of the work world: professionalism, effective communication skills, and methods of increasing personal productivity and efficiency. Professionalism in the Office trains support staff personnel to be more professional, thus more effective on the job. The major topics addressed are identifying your role in the organization, professional behavior, interpersonal communications, time management, personal organization, motivation, and self-development.
Course Length: 7 hours. Can be delivered in one day or in two half-days.

Achieving Communication Effectiveness

Achieving Communication Effectiveness (ACE) trains participants to function more productively through improved communication skills. This interactive workshop examines the skills, techniques, and behaviors associated with communication effectiveness. ACE does not encourage a win/loss resolution. Rather, it trains participants in effective communication techniques that open the door to dialogue, negotiations, and compromise. ACE enhances the professionalism of the employee. A confident and self-assured person is a more productive worker and an organizational asset.
Course Length: 10 hours. Usually delivered in 1* days.
